Front Wheels
Multiple positions for the front castor wheel means your chair can be made more manoeuvrable if you are an active user or more stable, with a choice of wheels between 6" (150mm) and 8 1/2" (215mm) dependent on what you use the chair for. Big wheels means outside obstacles are easier to climb whilst small wheels give compact turning. Either way the choice, and all points in-between, is yours.
Rear Wheels
More choice. Do you need to be pushed or want to push yourself?
If you need to be pushed, or if you are someone caring for another you can choose a standard 12 1/2" (315mm) wheel or have the ultimate option, a 16" (405mm) wheel. The improved ease of pushing a chair with a 16" wheel has to be tried to be believed. A unique Greencare feature is that the 16" wheels are detachable (option) at the press of a button. So if you are going to transport your chair in the back of a car the lift weight of the chair could be reduced to about 11kgs making it one of the lightest modular chairs currently available.
If you want to propel yourself you can choose between 22" and 24" wheels both available as easy removable quick release wheels (Bigger users can even choose a 26" wheel). Tyres are a new design from the world famous Greentyre puncture proof tyre range. The tyres offer a no weight penalty over pneumatic - but if you want worrisome pneumatics they are available as a cost option.
Wheels can be positioned to suite you - the user. Setting adjustment of up to 4"(100mm) of lateral movement ensure the wheels are in the correct position for ease of propulsion stability and seating posture.

Push Rims to dream about
Aluminium push rims are standard but the 22" and 24" wheels can be fitted with specially designed ergonomic polyurethane push rims. These exclusive Greencare push rims are always warm to the touch and are kind on the hands (and door frames) as they never scuff and become sharp like traditional push rims. Shaped to fit the hand they improve grip and make pushing easier. We never forget that this chair is built for user comfort.
Footrest Position
Vertical positioning is easy with incremental adjustment of 1# (25mm). Foot rest plates to fit small feet or larger ones are also adjustable for alignment, improving comfort, and eliminating the potentially dangerous gap between the plates. The footrests "swing both ways" to get out of the way and there's not many that can say that about their chair! This means you can get close in a bathroom or to worktops in the kitchen when you need to.
Seat
In sizes to suit you, the comfort seats come without screws in a specially designed Greencare slide fix system. We have avoided screws as they can catch your clothes or fill with crumbs. A unique seat-to-back velcro comfort connection expands for different seat depth settings. This is a chair that can change with you.
Backrest
The standard high comfort cushioned back can be further enhanced by the inclusion of a tension adjustable back system. To ease transporting and storage the backrest fold down even on the tension adjustable back - another key feature for Greencare.
To ensure the best possible seating position the rear back posts have two positions. So if later you need to change your seating position, to allow for cushions, a simple post re-set is all that is required to ensure you are sitting comfortably and safely.
Side Arm Panels
Available in 2 heights with comfortable scalloped armrests that can also be position adjusted. As an option the armrests can come fitted with ARMALITE high visibility "see and be seen" safety lights, another patented idea from Greencare. To ease access to the chair, both side panels lift up and out of the way. The translucent polycarbonate side panels that enhance the chairs appearance are available in attractive green or smokey black. They are flexible and virtually unbreakable.
