Stoma Stud size information

Kapitex have introduced a Trachi-Naze stoma measuring guige to ensure the right size of Stoma Stud is fitted. The measuring guide indicates depth to the voice prothesis - determining the length to the voice prosthesis - determining the length of Stoma Stud to use and the outside diameter of the shaft of the Stoma Stud.

There are two lengths of Trachi-Naze Plus Stoma Stud, each length available in a variety of diameters.

The shorter length of stoma stud will be more suitable for voice prosthesis users, as the shaft will not reach the voice prosthesis opening. We strongly advise your Speech Therapist or ENT Nurse to measure your stoma initially.

The Trachi-Naze Plus range has been further enhanced by the introduction of the Trachi-Naze Plus Laryngectomy tube.
